How it all began…
In 1993 Managing Director John Engelander was invited to join a friend’s cleaning business. Although the idea seemed like a good one at the time, John quickly learnt that many of his staff members would come to work with irritated eyes, skin rashes or respiratory irritation.
He realised that these reactions were caused by some of the cleaning products. These products were doing as much damage to the earth’s environment as they were to his staff, the clients’ staff and the clients’ premises and assets.
The chemical residuals left by these toxic products seemed to contradict the notion of clean. After discovering this, John decided to create a company focused on the preservation of the natural environment for future generations.
More recently John undertook a certificate in Sustainability Advocacy and received High Distinctions at Swinburne University. His continual interest in this subject has benefitted his clients in establishing an environmentallly sustainable path way.

The Planet Earth Cleaning Company provides a superior cleaning service that reduces the effect on the environment while impacting positively on your business’s image. This public image is enhanced through responsible environmental behaviour and an interest in employee health. We recognise that our success depends on the people who represent us.
Our clients demand a meticulous service, which includes minimising the introduction of toxins into the environment. We customise our packages to our clients’ needs while ensuring the highest level of environmental sustainability is maintained.
The cleaning machinery we use effectively reduces dust, noise emissions, chemical waste and energy usage.
